The Washed Ashore Sweater designed by Alexandra Tavel is an intermediate crochet project. This project is crocheted in one piece widthwise and then seamed. The body is crocheted from side to side, beginning at one sleeve and ending at the other, so that the stitches are worked perpendicular to the body. Stitches are picked up along the bottom of the garment to form the trim. Then stitches are picked up along the other side to shape the neck.
